Restoring healthy sleep

Clinical psychologist offering video telehealth services in Rhode Island, specializing in the treatment of insomnia.
Providing evidence-based treatments to help you move towards what matters most to you in life.

About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in treating insomnia using a short-term, evidence-based therapy (CBT-insomnia). I also have extensive experience working with adults of all ages on a variety of challenges, including life transitions and adjustments, managing anxiety and depression, and recovering from trauma.

I earned my Ph.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia, where my clinical work took me to various hospitals, community clinics, and school clinics throughout the city, and I was heavily involved in research, both through publishing manuscripts and securing a grant through the NIH. I completed my pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and I stuck around to complete a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in the treatment of trauma-related disorders. Within Rhode Island, my clinical work has taken me to Rhode Island Hospital, Butler Hospital, and the VA. The majority of my clinical career has been working with Veterans in the VA's Post Deployment & Readjustment Program, helping Veterans adjust to the many stressors and changes that come with life post-military or deployment, including fixing sleep! I am also passionate about training future psychologists, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior through Brown University, I provide clinical supervision to psychology residents and postdoctoral fellows.

My clinical approach leans on cognitive-behavioral treatments, and is deeply rooted in acceptance- and mindfulness-based therapies. Working with me, you can expect a collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach, with a smattering of metaphors and improved sleep!
